The next group of rosins is those specifically designed for the Cello player. These rosins offer slightly more tack or grab compared to the Violin/Viola rosins. The Cello rosins are identified by brown leather like zipper container. There are also three variations of the Cello rosins, with variation in hardness and tack. The Image represents the Cello rosin container. It should be noted that Double Bass players may also find the Cello rosins of interest in high pitch “close to the bridge” playing such as the #6 Cello, or the #7 Cello/Bass. The rosin scale number appears on the bottom of these containers.
